16-inch Throw Pillow Cover

Throw pilllows covered with pretty Christmas fabric.

This Christmas I was searching for a Christmas throw pillow to put on a bench in my front entrance. I couldn’t find just what I wanted in any store.

My husband suggested, “Why don’t you just make your own?”

I’m so glad he has more faith in me than I do sometimes!

So, I bought a couple 16-inch pillow forms and looked up, “how to sew a pillow cover for a 16-inch pillow form.” The search resulted in an easy, step-by-step sewing project – an envelope design that is removable.

Here’s the link to that project. How to Sew a Pillow Cover for a 16 by 16 inch pillow form

I promptly went to my sewing room (my happy place!), selected two Christmas designs from my collection of fabric, put on a Christmas movie, and turned on the iron. I completed my first pillow cover in about 30 minutes.

I’m just so happy with how these turned out, I had to share them with you!

And, I can hardly wait to make pillow covers for every season!
