- 1 baking sheet
Ingredients
- 2 cups Tomatoes seeded and diced
- 2 cloves Garlic minced or ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1/3 cup Olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp Dried basil
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Ground pepper
- ½ cup Mozzarella cheese grated
- 1 Baguette
Instructions
- Combine first seven ingredients in a bowl. Cover and let stand for at least one hour so flavours blend.
- Cut baguette on the angle into ¾ inch slices and place on a cookie sheet.
- Stir ½ of mozzarella into the tomato mixture and spoon onto baguette slices.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
- Place under broiler until cheese is melted and bread edges are toasted.
- Serve immediately.
