Festive Rice Krispie Squares

Here’s an old standby, but really, does it get any better!?  Good thing they are easy to make – they disappear fast!

INGREDIENTS:

¼ cup                         Butter

250 g or 5 cups       Miniature marshmallows

5 cups                        Festive Rice Krispie cereal

DIRECTIONS:

  • Grease a 9×13 pan.
  • Melt butter over medium heat in a 3 L saucepan.
  • Add marshmallows.  Stirring constantly, heat until melted through.  The mixture will change from a blob of marshmallow to a creamy consistency.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies.
  • Transfer to a greased pan and press down with the back of a greased spoon.
  • Cool completely.
  • Cut into squares.
  • Pretty these up with a dollop of butter icing and garnish of your choice.
