One of the biggest mysteries of doing laundry is folding a fitted sheet. The easiest way to fold a fitted sheet is to not do it at all. Just strip the bed, wash and dry the sheets and put them back on the bed. But it can’t be avoided forever and when you need to, it’s good to know how.
When I was eight or nine years old we were visiting my grandparents and Auntie Linda.
As we sat at the kitchen table, my mom asked my Auntie Linda, “how do you fold a fitted sheet?”
Auntie Linda worked in a hotel and knew exactly how to do it. She got up and went to get a sheet to demonstrate. I was lucky enough to be sitting there and watching the entire demonstration. And it’s something I never forgot!
