These nuts and bolts are a nice contrast to all the sweets around at Christmas. A tasty addition to a “homemade Christmas” package.

  • 1 Large roaster

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp BBQ seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 cups Cheerios or equivalent

  • 2 cup Cheese stick crackers
  • 2 cups Pretzels
  • 1 cup Peanuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300° F.
  • Stir cereals together in large roaster.
  • Combine spices in a small bowl.
  • Melt butter in small saucepan and stir in Worcestershire sauce.

  • Bake in the oven for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Be sure to stir all the way to the bottom each time, so the bottom doesn’t over cook.
  • When cereal is dry, remove from oven and add cheese crackers, pretzels and peanuts.
  • Let cool completely before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container or freezer bag.
  • Make ahead and freeze for optimal freshness.
  • Portion into cute packaging to include to a handmade Christmas gift.
