Tacos – Yay! It’s taco night!
The familiar smell and taste of tacos takes me back to my childhood. Although a messy challenge to eat, taco night is still one of my favourites.

Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean ground beef
- 2 ½ tbsp Taco seasoning
- 1 cup Water
- 1 Large tomato diced
- 1 cup Iceberg lettuce shredded
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- 10 Taco shells
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown 1-lb lean ground beef until no pink is showing.
- Add about ½ cup of water and stir to rinse the grease off the meat. Then drain grease and water from skillet. (I tilt the skillet, scoop the meat to the high side, spoon the liquid into a mug and allow it to cool before pouring into the garbage.)
- Sprinkle taco seasoning over meat.
- Add 1 cup of water and stir.
- Reduce heat and allow to simmer until the water has cooked down, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, prepare toppings.
- Assemble tacos using your favorite shells and toppings.
